The Winter Walks programme starts in
May and takes place on the 1st Saturday and 3rd Sunday of each month until
October.
These walks are generally 4 - 6 hrs
duration and of easy to medium grade. We usually don't travel more than an hour
from Wanaka, and often stop for a coffee before returning.
We usually meet at 8.30am at the lakefront,
just south of the intersection of McDougall St with the lakefront road.
Details of the tramp will be posted on
the home page of the blog site on the day prior to the tramp.
It is usually not necessary to advise the
leader, just turn up. However, in some instances, you will be asked to contact the trip leader directly, as specified in the post. Bring lunch, thermos, sturdy footwear, weatherwise
clothing, and petrol donation. All welcome.
